The Head of People is a newly-created position that will support our client's next phase of growth. In partnership with the founders, you will play a key role in setting the overall people strategy and people operations roadmap to support organizational innovation in a thriving culture, while also acting as a Talent Advisor to our client's portfolio companies. Reporting into (XX), you will build out our talent infrastructure and operate as an innovative thought leader. This role will support a growing team of 30-50 employees in the Los Angeles area along with an expanding list of portfolio organizations.
Strategy & Organizational Framework - Partner closely with leaders to codify the people strategy/roadmap, developing and/or making improvements to HR systems/programs to sustain long term organizational growth. Provide guidance around the people aspects of the business strategy, scenario planning, and how to move the strategic vision of the business into people processes and workflow.
Talent Acquisition – Establish a scalable recruiting process for hiring and retaining top talent, focusing on our brand internally and externally, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
Culture & Employee Engagement - Lead and manage the employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle in alignment with the cultural values of the business.
Inclusion & Diversity - Approach all internal/external programming with an I&D lens, driving programs that support the organization's workforce diversity, inclusiveness, and retention opportunities. Translate trends, metrics, and research into a strategy that sets our client as an I&D leader in the VC and real estate space.
People & Team Performance Scorecard - Putting science and metrics behind teamwork, establish key analytics and HR reporting to support eﬀective decision making and to monitor organizational performance.
Talent Advisor to portfolio companies - Provide the same services outlined above to our portfolio companies. Operate as the HR subject matter expert, point person and thought leader providing coaching, resources and other programming as these organizations scale and develop their own people programs. Problem solve and offer solutions to roadblocks along the way.
