Our client, an advisory and professional services firm based in the Bay Area, is looking for a Head of People (Director level). This role will have primary responsibility for all people programs, processes and practices for the organization’s offices in multiple locations. This role will develop the vision and strategies for the People function and lead implementation of all people processes.
Serve as business partner with leadership at all levels of the organization and manage the People Team.
In collaboration with the senior leadership team, lead, create, standardize and improve the organization’s culture, people practices, policies, programs and processes.
Work with each team and the broader people team to ensure that robust recruiting, on boarding and retention processes exist to attract the quality, depth and diversity of talent needed to meet the company’s business objectives.
Establish talent management strategies and processes needed to support organizational talent objectives (e.g. talent network establishment, key talent development and workforce planning, succession, employee recognition, training, etc).
Respond and resolve employee relations issues. Ensure that people policies and practices are managed in a compliant, consistent and fair manner.
Lead the development of compensation strategies, incentive programs and processes that support the achievement of the business objectives.
Lead the development of employee benefit strategies and the efficient implementation of employee health, retirement, wellness and other benefit programs.
Establish and maintain compliance with all federal, state and local requirements.
Have a Bachelor’s degree and 7-10 years of experience in human resources, SPHR preferred
Are able to multi-task and balance priorities under pressure while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Demonstrate a strong analytical ability with a healthy dose of creativity in solving complex challenges
Prioritize an excellent solutions oriented approach with a “do what it takes” attitude
Are able to appreciate and understand the “big picture” while not being afraid to “get into the weeds”
Have strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
Are comfortable using technology such as HRIS systems, Excel & Slack
