Job Description

Our client is looking for a VP of Product Marketing. They will be responsible for marketing of our client's SaaS software product portfolio.  This person should have experience and demonstrated success with product marketing planning and product launches. Ideally, they will have product marketing experience for a global product either at a B2B enterprise software company, from the contact center industry, or SaaS/Cloud based product company. The successful candidate reports to the CMO and will be based in Palo Alto, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Create the overall product marketing vision with the objective of building product awareness, establishing product leadership, and driving demand
  • Develop relevant buyer personas and buyer journey mapping for all products covering business and technology buyers, how they buy, what influences them, and their buying criteria. Develop messaging, value propositions, and supporting collateral that describe the unique benefits 
  • Partner with product management to achieve a shared understanding for the future of Conversational AI and appropriate product direction for the company 
  • Defined and execute product marketing programs and operational deliverables - including but not limited to product launches, product specific programs (i.e., campaigns), white-papers, videos, pricing updates, and enablement materials for sales and partners.
  • Work closely with Analyst Relations to educate the industry analyst community so they understand how to properly communicate our client's value propositions and accurately represent the company relative to the industry
  • Meet with Customers, Sales and Sales Engineers, Customer Success/Delivery, to understand the needs of customers and partners for earning greater mindshare.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team, Product Management, Sales and Sales Engineers, Customer Success, and Partners to produce content and other materials to support growth strategies.
  • Work with the CMO to co-create data-driven OKRs to closely track the performance of our marketing effort.
  • Help identify, support and manage key conferences and events.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience with Product Marketing with proven track record in the Contact Center or AI/Automation space
  • Very strong written communication skills
  • Excellent people and influence skills to interact with global colleagues and cross-functional teams, and external parties.
  • Professional with a proactive attitude and a hands-on “roll-your sleeves” attitude capable of getting stuff done
  • Comfortable with social media and community participation
  • Collaborative leader who is a high-impact individual, dynamic speaker/ leader
  • Up to 25% travel to support sales efforts and industry events.
  • Proven experience creating and recruiting teams that have launched new products in the market in the SaaS sector.
