As the Sr Director of Product, you will be leading a new IP being developed by a 3rd party developer. As a product leader you will be responsible for the entire product from ensuring clarity on the product vision through to diving into the product economy. You will inspire those around you, partnering with the developer through to ensuring the product is appropriately supported by key stakeholders in our publishing organization.
Drive the product vision, ensure that the team is balancing both the Design and PM perspectives to deliver an optimal balance of creative design and science into game development from the earliest stages of product lifecycle
Build a strong partnership with a key external partner, develop a win / win partnership that drives to mutually aligned direction and goals
Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance player delight and engagement
Work in deep partnership publishing groups, leveraging consumer insights, market feedback, as well as platform and channel expertise drive effective go to market strategies
Manage the developers sprint to sprint activities to ensure they meet deadlines, objectives and quality standards
Leverage Data Analytics, A/B testing, Push Notifications and other partner tools to drive KPIs
Define and design economies and systems to support the overall strategic vision of the product, maximizing acquisition, engagement and monetization
Post Launch, lead live operations and new feature development via understanding of best in breed analytics and creative
Track performance on a daily basis, communicate daily KPIs to internal and external stakeholders and adjust designs / plans accordingly.
Required Skills/Personal Requirements:
Experience owning product management or analytics functions for successful mobile consumer facing products in the past.
Strong analytical skills and experience with data driven product design and decision making.
Past experience with structured, hypothesis driven product improvements, rigorous metrics analysis, consumer insights and design experimentation to align product features with player motivations.
Experience with multivariate testing in web or mobile products.
Strong in Excel, ability to create models and simulators for free-to-play economies.
Passion for games and strong player empathy. Ability to critically evaluate design, art and economy that influence player behavior.
Strong communication and writing skills, with experience preparing and presenting decks to various stakeholders. Ability to effectively communicate both creative and technical feedback to a diverse group of stakeholders.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to juggle priorities and projects.
Self-motivated team player that brings excitement and enthusiasm to work each day.
BS/BA degree, ideally in a quantitative discipline. MS/MBA highly preferred.
6 years of experience in product management with a major gaming company, and/or experience in a top ranked management consulting firm.
Previous experience in social/casual gaming is mandatory
