Head of Human Resources 

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Director is a newly-created position put in place to support this company's next phase of growth. You will play a key role in setting the overall HR strategy and global people operations roadmap to support organizational success. Reporting into the CFO, you will lead a team of three including: Talent Development Manager, HR Generalist and Office Administrator. This role will support a growing team of 70 employees in the Bay Area, as well as satellite offices in Portland, China and India. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Partner closely with the Executive team laying out the people strategy/roadmap, developing and/or making improvements to HR systems/programs to sustain long term organization growth. 
  • Lead and manage a HR team responsible for managing the employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle
  • Operate as the HR subject matter expert and point person for all HR related concerns across the organization
  • Communicate between executive team members and all employees to ensure clear communication, expectations, and employee engagement.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to employees at all levels of the organization in the areas of talent development, general management and employee relations issues
  • Hire, onboard, and mentor new hires, ensuring a smooth integration into the organization and long term retention.
  • Partner with department leaders to design and execute company-wide performance management programs, feedback, promotion, and compensation cycles.
  • Establish HR reporting and analytics to support effective decision making and business needs. 
  • Develop key operational metrics to monitor performance.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in HR, including experience managing a small team.
  • Experience designing a high quality, scalable HR function in high tech companies of 100+ employees with some global presence.
  • Demonstrated leadership of talent agenda that contributes to organizational growth and improved employee experience
  • Ability to influence, engage, and partner closely with executives and business leaders across all levels of the organization in planning, change management and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills.
  • Collaborative work style - team player with low-ego and growth mindset.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage through ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • BA or BS degree
